Children’s rights investigation

Last year, the Get ready for change! project ran a big children’s rights investigation to find out what life is really like for children and young people in England, and how well their human rights are respected and protected.

Over 1,700 children and young people took part in the investigation, through online surveys on the website and through focus group interviews run by our young children’s rights investigators. If you were one of those 1,700 people, thank you for sharing your experiences with us.

Get ready for change! volunteers used the information from the investigation to write a report for the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child. This report tells the UN what they found out, and what children and young people would like the UN to ask the Government to change.
