UKYP to debate issues that matter to children in Parliament

On Friday 30 October 2009 the elected members of the UK Youth Parliament (MYPs) will be the first ever body of people (young or old) that aren’t MPs to sit on the green benches in the House of Commons. They will be debating the issues that matter to young people in the UK.

But what are those issues?

The UK Youth Parliament wants to know!

Every child has the right to keep in regular contact with both parents so long as this is the best thing for the child.

Random fact no 9

Over 8,600 children and young people were permanently excluded from school in 2006/07. Almost a thousand of these students attended primary school and 40 of them were aged just 5.
