My Children’s Rights Workshop!!!

smile smile I am so happy today!! smile smile I have at least after all the planning, been able to do my Children’s Rights Workshop! It was really good, considering all the factors that were going against us the past week, lack of publicity, problems with equiptment (projecters for displays ect..) the “important local speaker” we had asked to come couldn’t at short notice and this morning the youth worker who was comming to support couldn’t as “had an more important meeting” to attend! and there was a problem with youth centre door lock – this meant we couldn’t get into venue for almost 2hours… but regardless I was determind to make it happen!! When we finally got started it was great! There were 10 young people there, which we were sort of disappointed with as we expected about 25-30 but it was enough to make the day a success! Everybody was really interested & want to get involved with the CRAE & GR4G, even if not all of them are ready to become champions YET!! The event got better as the day went on and after the event had finished I had a call from a youth worker to ask if I could run more of these events across staffordshire asap! They event was a massive success due to the support from everybody involved! Thank you! smile I will post a voice blog about it asap on the radiowaves website, so please check it out! at http://www.radiowaves.co.uk/geneva
