GLA event in london…

Saturday! – GLA event to promote GR4G.

We went from the CRAE office, to the Bernie Arts Centre in East London. We started to get everything set up ready for the GLA event, when Krishna and the other young people from CRAE arrived we had a sort of run through so we all knew what was going to happen. At the event there was lots of young people and adults, from all over the world, including Brazil, South Africa, Palestine and England. After the morning assembly to welcome everybody, our workshop started, I was a bit nervous about doing it because I didn’t know who would be there. The workshop went really well; Carla and Krishna were excellent smile All the people at the workshop seemed to be interested and enjoying it. After lunch the timetable had been changed so there wasn’t another CRAE workshop, instead we went into a different workshop, ran by young adults from South Africa and Brazil. Some of the speakers stories of what their lives were like before they became part of the various charity organisations, were really moving and sad, some of the things they had to put up with, just to survive, it was really emotional to hear their stories, this is something that I will never forget…
