Get Yourself To Geneva…

Hi Everybody!...

Well done to everyone who entered the “Get Yourself To Geneva” competition, and congratulations to everybody who is going…

As the announcement day drew ever closer I really began to doubt my chances of being one of the 12 selected out of 60 candidates.
I was nervous about finding out as this means the world to me, I wanted to know but at the same time I feared if I found out I wasn’t going how would I feel?... Allsorts of very weird thoughts were running through my mind.
The day finally came, for majority of the day, I had managed to not think about the possible results too much as I was working with a local youth group for their annual event, however as it got closer to 4pm, then after I had returned home, it was getting closer to 5pm, I was becoming very nervous because I know that when the team normally call its about 5pm on a school day, but at the moment its my school holiday!
It was then the moment of truth, my phone rang, I saw it was “CRAE London” calling, I became so excited yet I still doubted my chances, so when Carla said “Congratulations you are 1 of the 12 going to Geneva” well as you can imagine I was so excited!!!! :-D :-D I deafened poor Carla though – Sorry!!
When I had calmed down enough to actually speak to Carla, she then went through some of the important need to know details, lolz
Later that evening I told all my friends and family, who are equally excited for me but they are slightly apprehensive, that I will be going abroad without my mom, – but this doesn’t bother me because I trust the CRAE team…

This is my dream come true! Thank you!
