Geneva… Day one!
Hi everyone…
Tuesday 10th June 2008,
The journey to Geneva was long and well event full. I met up with Ciara, Krishna and most of the young people, it was great to see them, together we all made our way to meet Sam and the other young people. After checking in and going through customs and everything we split up into 3 groups to then go and have dinner before it was time to fly… The flight was amazing, the captain wished all of the “Get Ready For Geneva team, good luck for your meeting with the United Nations tomorrow, this group of young people are going to represent England and talk about children’s rights.” I couldn’t believe it… WELCOME TO GENEVA… we were here, all of us together in Geneva… We all went to a Chinese restaurant which was situated within Geneva Airport, It was really good, I had a chicken salad, but some of the young people tried more erm, well adventurous things like sushi, they young person who had that did try to tempt us all to try it, I did try it, but really wish I hadn’t as it made me feel very sick! – I’m not a fan of fish… :s As the Euro 2008 was taking place, our hotel was in France, about 20 minutes away from the airport. After we arrived at the hotel and settled in it was time for a final look at the report, before heading off to bed.So that was Day one!
Can’t wait for Day Two!...
