UN Report
Hi, it’s Kat here!
I wanted to write a blog about the UN Report, I am part of the Drafting committee in which writes this report. If you don’t already know the UN Report is the thing that is sent off to Geneva to tell them how well/bad the UK is treating children’s rights; there are different sections, e.g. ‘friends and family’, ‘crime’...(a few more). This report includes loads more information, as well as reccomendations.
The section I wrote was the ‘friends and family’ one. I wrote this report with a member of the steering group. It was really interesting to find out what children and young people thought about this subject. – It was also very surprising, it showed that children and young people have voices. I also think think the report is looking amazing! Well done!!
