Each year, the Mayor picks a charity. And this year, Mayor Celia in Warrington chose children and young people. she was a former high school teacher and felt that children and young people was an appropriate choice. She believes it is important to involve them in democracy as well. She has a big concern of negative portrayal of young people in the media.
