Day 3 in New York

Today we went to the United Nations for the World Fit for Children meeting.

It started with the General Assembly plenary meeting with an opening statement from a youth delegate representing the youth forum. The statement was very powerful and got its message across to world leaders. (We will try and put it on the website for you to read!).

In the afternoon I went to the round table discussion on HIV/Aids and promoting healthier lives for young people. I was able to ask 2 questions to world leaders and government officials. Unfortunately I didn’t get any answers – showing that more needs to be done. We also got to meet the rest of the UK government delegation. They were really nice and I am happy to be working alongside them!
